My Top Five: LUSH Bath Products

Hello again!

It has been too long!

However, I am back and I have made it through the first term and a half of school and I couldn't be anymore relieved..hahaha

Today I am going to do a top 5 bath products from my favourite store LUSH! I was thinking of doing a bit of a Lush series, like bath products, face products etc. I have never used any of the makeup but I think it might be fun to dabble in it a bit if thats what you guys want!

So here we go, my top 5 bath products from Lush!

Sakura $6.50

Sakura Bath Bomb: Now this one is not one of the bath bombs that make lots of colours and bubbles however, it has the most amazing smell once it rests in the bath! It smells like cherry blossoms and oranges and the scent lingers on you skin for ages after you get out of the bath. My skin always feels nice and soft after I get out of this type of bath. I usually combine it with a non-scented bubble bath so I can get all those bubbles.

Sex Bomb $6.50

4
Sex Bomb Bath Bomb: I lovvvve the colour this bath bomb turns your bath, its the prettiest pink colour! It has a pretty strong floral scent (so if thats not your thing maybe skip this one) and like Sakura the scent lingers for ages after you hop out of the bath. Also like Sakura, my skin was super dooper soft and I didn't even need to moisturise after!

The Magic of Christmas $12.50

 3
The Magic of Christmas Bubble Bar: Eppp, yes I know, this is a limited edition and you can't get this all year but I couldn't not include it! I love this bubble bar because it gives you amazing bubbles, an amazing orange colour with glitter and an amazing cinnamon scent! This bubble bar lasts so long as well because you only have to swirl it around your bath when the tap is running and it works perfectly! Make sure you pick one up this christmas! I promise its the best! However it does leave a bit of glitter on the sides of the bath after you let the water out, so be prepared to clean!

Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon $7.50

2
Yuzu & Cocoa Bubbleroon Bubble Bar: I could be wrong but I think this bubble bar is fairly new. I absolutely love love love this scent! It has an amazing coconutty and chocolate smell and since coconut is one of my favourite scents I really like it! You just need to crumble it in the running water and it creates the greatest bubbles that last for ages!

Intergalactic $8.95

1
Intergalactic Bath Bomb: Finally my number one! Intergalactic is an amazing looking bath bomb and has a really strong pepperminty and fresh scent. This bath bomb turns your bath a beautiful deep blue colour and has heaps and heaps of silver glitter in it! When I first used it I thought I was going to have to have a shower to get all the glitter off but it didn't stick and that was super impressive! Like sakura, I mix this with a scentless bubble bath to get bubbles and that creates my perfect bath! However, like the magic of christmas, it does leave a bit of glitter on the sides of the bath after you let the water out, so be prepared to clean, but I promise its worth it!

So there we have it friends! My top 5 bath products from Lush! Although I do love all these products, they can be quite expensive, so hopefully this will help you out if you have a limited budget to spend on bath time!

OOTD: Feels like Summer!

So it was uncharacteristically hot today in the city.. very unimpressed... however I took a glass half full approach and decided it was the perfect weather to get some lovely pics in the beautiful sunshine!

Now, I am not going to lie, usually I am never the subject of photos but rather the one taking them but in the spirit of blogging I gave it my best shot! I had never been to these gardens before today and I am so happy we found it because it really was so cute! I am sure there will be plenty of picnics there in the future! There was a couple next to us who were having their wedding photos taken and it was so beautiful! We tried very hard to stay out of their shots hehe.. but I am pretty sure we failed and may have made a sneaky appearance in the photos!
oooof what a professional shot ;) - haha i must laugh at myself
The Jumpsuit: This jumpsuit/pantsuit (whatever you want to call it) is from Seed Heritage, which is my all time FAVOURITE store. It isn't avaliable any more because I bought it in Januarary however I tried to find some similar versions that give the same effect! This type of jumpsuit is perfect for those hot days when you don't want to show of the legs but still want to stay nice and cool!
Another Option:

The Jacket:  This jacket I got on ASOS and I love the colour! Its perfect for warmer days as it slightly cropped and isn't extremely heavy.
The Shoes: The espadrilles I am wearing in these pics are also from Seed Heritage however they aren't available any more either :( These ones I linked are from Soludus and are a great option as well!
Another Option:
The Bag: I love wearing backpacks at the moment because they are sooo much easier to carry! This one I recently bought from Longchamp and I absolutely love it! Its cute and is decievingly big.. I am able to fit so much in this thing including my massive DLSR camera!
The Watch: I have a Micahel Kors watch that I adore, I love the Rose Gold colour of it because it doesn't look so harsh against my pale skin! These watches are gorgeous and seriously worth the money!
There you go! My first ever outfit post! Gahhhhh, hope its alright.. hehe

My Top 5: Perfumes!

So I looooovvve perfume, since i was about 13 I have loved collecting lots of different fragrences to add to my collection and I have decided to share my most favourite. I wish I was one of those people who had a 'signature' scent and wore the same perfume everyday but alas I am not and thus I am a hoarder of perfumes! :')

I am a strong believer in wearing scents that coincide with the season, I love to find the perfect fragrance for every time of the year and in Australia at the moment it is Autumn and I have been wearing mostly Giorgio Armani Si over the past few weeks.

So here we go, my top 5 perfumes, I have given a little run down on each of the fragrances however don't hate, I am not the best at describing scents, but then again who is hehe

See By Chloe   (Aussies - it is available in Mecca Stores - not online)
See By Chloe:  This fragrance is quite floraly and has a musky undertone to it, it smells really fresh and clean! I love to wear this perfume in Spring time!

Giorgio Armani Si:  This fragrance is quite strong and has a kind of woody tone to it, it is a super deeply scented perfume and I love wearing it in the autumn or winter time. This perfume is the most expensive of all of my favourite perfumes and I only recommend it if you like very strong scents!

Prada Candy: This was the first high end perfume I ever discovered and I love it so much. It has a very sweet caramel scent to it and whenever I use this one I always get compliments, it wears very well, which is always a plus.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony #2: This perfume is very sweet and is my favourite scent to wear in the summer time. It has a light berry scent where it makes you smell fresh and fruity without smelling like a fruit shop!

Someday Justin Bieber: Now guys, don't judge until you have had a sniff of this one! It is very similar to the ralph lauren perfume I mentioned but has a slightly more vanilla undertone to it. This is the cheapest perfume in my favourites and it is perfect if you are just starting to get into perfume. This was my first ever fragrance and I will always have a bottle of it with me!

So there you go! My most favourite perfumes! I hope you enjoyed and found some scentspiation lol

Skincare for Sensitive Skin

I have never really gotten along with my skin, I mean I never got extremely bad acne or anything but between constantly being in the swimming pool and the fairness of my skin, my face has always been quite hard to look after. I have really sensitive skin, and over the past 8 or so weeks I have experimented with a lot of products and nearly all of them gave me rashes, redness and dryness all over my face. It was only a few weeks ago that I found a few products that I am super happy with and have calmed down my skin and really cleared it up!

So I thought I would share the products that I use on my face everyday with you, none of these products are going to break the bank and some are even under $10! So if you have sensitive skin I highly recommend all of these products!

Eau Thermale Avene Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream
L'occitane Immortelle Oil Makeup Remover: This is the first product I use every night to get rid of all my makeup and it works extremely well. I was a bit scared of using an oil because I thought it might make me break out but I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it got rid of all my makeup (even waterproof mascara!) while leaving my skin clean, soft and not too oily.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub: I usually use this scrub three times a week. It is strong enough to really get rid of that dry skin while not being so harsh that it leaves your skin red and sore. To make this scrub even better it only costs around $12 here is Australia making it the perfect exfoiliater for those who don't want to break the bank but still get the quality results.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser: This cleanser is great because it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean without leaving any redness. It doesn't have a strong fragrance and it gets rid of any makeup that the oil may have missed. I use this cleanser every morning and night and it really keeps my skin nice and clean.

Kora Organics Calming Lavender Mist: This product is a more luxurious step in my night time skincare routine that isn't necessary if you don't like spending much money on skincare. I use this mist in replace of a toner and it is just really refreshing and has a lovely light lavender scent. I believe this product lives up to its claim that it is calming, and sometimes at night when i am doing homework or just laying around I like to use this and it quite revitalising.

Kora Organics Purifying Day & Night Cream: I use this moisturiser every morning after my cleanser before I apply my makeup. Ever since I have started using this moisturiser I have noticed such a difference in my skin. Every time I use it, it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It's great for using in the morning because it immediately sinks into your skin and doesn't sit on your skin. This is definitely my favourite moisturiser I have ever used. It is on the pricier side for me, but I totally think it is worth it!

Eau Thermale Avene Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream: I use this moisturiser every night after I cleanse because it is far thicker and takes a far longer time to sink into my skin than the Kora moisturiser does. I don't mind though because when I wake up in the morning my skin is soft and hydrated. I get really bad dry skin because I am constantly in a chlorinated pool, so this moisturiser is perfect to restore hydration in my skin.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eyes Cube: I use this product every morning before I apply makeup and I find that it does help hydrate my under eye area as well as improve my dark circles. I have tried many eye creams and I have found that most react strangely with my skin and make my under eyes very itchy. This product is great because it gets rid of those under eye circles without damaging my skin and leaving it red.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub: I use this lip scrub nearly every morning before I apply my Body Shop lip balm and it leaves my lips nice and soft for the whole day. I love the lush lip scrubs and I especially like the popcorn flavour but I haven't seen it in a while!

Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water: This product I put in my hand bag on hot days and I use if I am getting really hot or if I have got a little sunburn. I have really fair skin and it gets damaged by the sun easily so this product is perfect for summer in Australia when it gets extremely hot and sweaty!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
Kora Organics Purifying Day & Night Cream
So there we go, (congrats if you made it to the end haha) my favourite skincare products at the moment! If you have any suggestions for my sensitive skin leave a comment telling me! Hope you enjoyed!

Cinnamon & Sultana Loaf

Back again, today I decided to make this Cinnamon and Sultana loaf from The Hummingbird Bakery Recipe Book called Cake Days

This loaf is super yummy and not tooooo sweet! Also there are sultanas in it so therefore I am totally being healthy! ;)

Serves 8-10

Ingredients you will need

190 grams unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
190g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
190g caster sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
25ml soured cream
1 tsp vanilla essence, 1 used a half teaspoon of vanilla bean paste because it enhances the flavours of the cake overall
1 tbsp ground cinnamon, I only used a half tbsp because I didn't want it too overpowering
70g raisins, I used around 80g
Cinnamon sugar for dusting, I used icing sugar because I didn't have any in my cupboard

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celcius, then grease the loaf tin with butter and dust with flour
(My loaf tin was quite big, it was about 25x10cm, I recommend using a smaller tin so the loaf is not really short, maybe a 8.5x17.5
2. Using a hand held electric whisk or a freestanding electric mixer with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
(I would say you have to mix the butter and sugar for at least 5 minutes for it to be mixed properly)
3. Break the eggs in one at a time, mixing well after each addition and scraping down the sides of the bowl to make sure all the ingredients are fully mixed in
4. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, then add to the egg, butter and sugar mixture in two turns mixing on a low speed so that the flour doesn't fly everywhere! Finally. mix in the sour cream and vanilla essence/paste
5. Spoon 200g of the batter into a small bowl and stir in the cinnamon. Stir the raisins into the remaining batter, then pour the raisin batter into the tin. Spoon the cinnamon batter on top and swirl the two together for a marbled effect.
(My cake didn't turn out to be marbled but rather two layers, make sure that you use a fork and slowly mix the cake batters to create that marble effect that I didn't achieve!)
 6. Bake the loaf in the oven for 50-60 minutes or until the sponge feels firm on top and when you insert a skewer it comes out clean.
(My oven is quite hot so I only needed to bake my loaf for about 45 minutes)
Allow the loaf to cool a little before turning it out of the tin on to a wire rack to cool completely before you serve!

Tip: This loaf would taste really nice served warm with a dollop of cream!

So there we go! A delicious, somewhat healthy (not really) cinnamon & sultana loaf! Hope you enjoy

Ireland Trip 2015

So heres the deal, I am going into my last year of schooling this year and I start next week... A lot of people are saying that its the best year of your life and that I am going to have a whalllle of a time... But I mean, I'm not so sure about that! I have wanted to start a youtube channel for a few years now but I have found that I just don't have the time or space in my life to do it, so I decided 2 hours ago that I would start this blog. This blog is going to be my stress relief tool of 2016, when I feel stressed I will come over here and write a post! I don't have any particular theme in mind for what type of posts I will be putting up but I am sure there will be a bit of everything!

Now storytime, there was a freak storm last night and I woke up to the lovely surprise of no wifi...brilliant... i was not happy, so what i decided to do instead was look through some of the photos from my recent trip to Ireland over my christmas break and pick a few to put up here!

I spent the month of December in County Clare with my grandparents and uncle, it was such a great trip and although I have been to Clare a few times this year I really got to see other places around Ireland! Sooooooo here we go my first ever blog post!

On the first few days of our trip we were suuuuuuper tired because we live in Australia so we had spent about 3 days either on a plane or at an airport. However, once the jetlag started to settle dad, mum, my sister and I went on a little trip to go stay with my uncle in another County called Offaly. I looooove Birr! There are so many cute, little shops that were FULL of fun little trinkets, jewellery, candles, homewares and christmas decorations!

One night we went to Bunratty Castle to visit the Folk Village and attend a christmas themed banquet! I had so much fun that night because everything was so christmassy and cheerful! There were singers that sung heaps of christmas carols throughout the meal and the food was delicious. I loved it here because I love love love everything about christmas, as this was basically Santa's irish holiday home!

The next few photos were all taken on one of the best days we had in Ireland. We went to the Burren which was one of the strangest and most incredible things I have ever seen! Kilometers and kilometers of just rock... it was crazy! We also went to the Cliffs of Moher and it was so so so windy we struggled to stand up straight! haha

FUN FACT: in the above photo^ this is where they filmed some scenes from Harry Potter! Can you guess what film???

Galway was one of the prettiest places I have ever been, the main shopping street was so gorgeous and the way they decorated it was just incredible!

This was my first time visiting Dublin and I have to say, Grafton Street was so amazing! It reminded me of a prettier version of Bourke St in Melbourne! haha We went and looked through Trinity College and Dublin Castle which were both gorgeous as well as Kilmainham Jail which was a cool experience.

Obviously I don't enjoy shopping and I am really big into saving money!^ hehe ooops!

Cheeky little stop at Laduree, I wish we had a Laduree Store in Melbourne.. they are my absolute favourite treats!

We also met up with some of my family in Limerick and went ice skating and went and got some food at a place called Milano.. they had these appetisers called dough balls and OH MY GOODNESS, they were the most amazingly delicious things I had ever eaten in my whole life! If you live in Ireland, I recommend checking them out! Does anyone know where I could find them in Melbourne???

On Christmas eve, my sister and I did a bit of baking! She made some cupcakes and I decided to make some mince pies and gingerbread! I got the recipe for the mince pies from Zoellas blog and they tasted so so good! I used the Tesco mince meat and no one could tell that it was from a jar ;)

It snowed on Christmas eve! I was so excited!

Christmas Day last year was one to remember, Santa went to town on the presents and it was so fun because usually its just mum, dad, my sister and I because no other family lives in Melbourne! I loved being able to share my most favourite day with some of my most favourite people and I will cherish the memories we made forever!

So there we go! My first ever blog post! Even if no one ever sees this, I must say I am really enjoying writing them and picking the photos! If you got to the end then heres to you my friend you are fabulous!
